In a world often fraught with heartbreak and disappointment, and where second chances don’t always come along, the story of Jeff and Lorrie Agan offers a glimmer of hope, proving that love can indeed find its way back, even after the roughest of times.

Originally married in 1989 in a simple ceremony within the walls of an electronics store, the Agans embarked on a journey together, eventually raising a family of ten, including their son Jeffrey Jr. However, after more than two decades of marriage, their marriage faced struggles that seemed too much to overcome, ending in a divorce in 2014.

“It was a trying time for all of us,” said Jeffrey Jr., about the family’s struggles during their parents’ separation.

But amidst the chaos, each of us found our own ways to cope.”

From the wreckage of their broken marriage emerged a story of personal growth and resilience. Jeff Sr. threw himself into exercise, poetry, and quality time with his grandchildren, while Lorrie sought solace in meditation and reconnecting with the natural world.

“We were both on separate journeys of self-discovery,” Lorrie said. “Yet somehow, our paths realigned.” The pivotal moment arrived on a December day, when Jeff surprised Lorrie with a heartfelt poem titled “Love Burns Anew.” As she read the words he had written, she looked up to find him on bended knee, presenting her with a ring.

“It was a moment etched in my memory forever,” Lorrie said, unable to help but smile at the memory. Captured on video by their son Jeff Jr., the proposal quickly captivated audiences worldwide, resonating deeply with viewers seeking stories of enduring love in an often tumultuous world.

People truly connected with our journey,” their son said. “It serves as a testament to the enduring power of love.”

For Jeff Sr., the proposal was a nerve-wracking endeavor, though the words of his poem spoke volumes. “I was more jittery than I had anticipated,” confessed Jeff. “But the poem conveyed everything I wished to express.”

Their reconciliation came after months of introspection and personal growth.  “Our family weathered many storms,” reflected Jeff Jr. “But witnessing their reconnection, it felt like the pieces of our family puzzle finally fell into place.”

The response from people all over the world gave the family more hope. “I never anticipated such a profound response,” Jeff Jr., said. “Yet it serves as a poignant reminder that true love knows no bounds.” And in the end, that is what he believes resonated with so many others.

“So many people are going through painful experiences,” he said. “So, I think what’s touched so many people about this video is there’s definite proof with this video that true love exists. Watch below for a look at this couple’s lovely second chance at their happily ever after.
